Student To Student Student To Student

Student to Student

The Student to Student program brings Jewish teens into classrooms to share their personal experiences, traditions, and perspectives with their non-Jewish peers. Through these authentic encounters, high school students develop a stronger understanding of Jewish identity and traditions, build greater awareness of shared experiences and differences across cultures and religions, and feel more motivated to challenge antisemitic comments and stereotypes, in school and beyond.

Testimonials

“The student presenters were excellent. I loved the way they shared articles of faith and had objects (and treats) to pass around and look at. Their personal stories were meaningful and the fact they were close in age made connecting with the students very effective.”
— Grade 11 World Religions teacher, Oakville

“Having the opportunity to connect with my peers to talk about my experiences and break down barriers has been so rewarding. Not only have I been able to educate others, but I’ve also learned how to navigate conversations about Judaism and my community.”
— Hannah, Grade 12 student presenter

Teachers: Bring Student to Student into your classroom!

Student to Student presentations are offered at no cost to schools and youth groups, and are typically run in smaller, classroom-style settings. This format helps create a comfortable environment where participants feel safe asking questions and engaging in open, honest conversations.

Each session fits within a class period or a timeframe arranged in advance. Our teen ambassadors visit in small teams and lead interactive discussions about Judaism. While they cover key traditions and practices, the focus is on sharing their own lived experiences and what it means to be a Jewish teen today, highlighting the diversity within the Jewish community.

To make the experience more engaging, presenters often bring hands-on items, visuals, and even snacks that connect to the topics being discussed. These presentations are designed to complement and enrich existing learning, and we collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and youth group leaders to ensure the content aligns with their goals.
